I studied computer science at Michigan State University. The topics I found most interesting during my coursework were Turing machines and graph theory, the internal mechanisms of LLMs and the psycholinguistic evaluation of model behavior, and deep learning theory.
As an undergraduate research assistant I worked with Dr. Arun Ross on face morphs and multi-modal deepfake detection, and on modeling human faces computationally so that they hold perceptual realism and identity at once. I was also president of the Spartan Blockchain Club, which took me to the White House as a student crypto policy advocate.
Alongside my job, I'm still following that thread: multi-modal LLMs for embodied agents, modelling of humans in the 3D world with visual and auditory input signals, and the development of novel generative architectures to address threat models in biometrics.
I enjoy coffee, travel, sports, markets, hackathons, and conversations with people who see a problem differently than I do.
